When an entrepreneurial mother, Ann Zipser, and her two twenty-something daughters, Rebecca Hoffman and Emily Raisher, decided to go into business together a unique and fashionable maternity and infant shop seemed like the perfect idea. Mix in the backgrounds of accounting, medicine, teaching and design and of course a great fashion sense and Preggers was born.

Preggers opened in March 2005 in the quaint Old Town section of downtown Traverse City, Michigan. A tourist destination with an ever expanding local population and no place to shop for maternity clothing was an ideal location for the new store. Each member of the family used their own individual talents to create a unique shop catering to a large variety of customers. The store offers a wide range of maternity and nursing fashions, infant layettes and clothing, designer diaper bags, strollers, beautiful cribs and bedding and so much more.

With the success of Preggers in Traverse City hopes for expansion led to our newest baby. Preggers Chicago opened in March of 2007 in the 900 Shoppes on Michigan Avenue. Catering to the fashionable mom and her even more fashionable children this store offers a wide variety of designer clothing and accessories. Emily strives to bring a boutique feel to the Magnificent Mile with her expertise and personal service.

Preggers Traverse City and Preggers Chicago were born out of love and ambition. A family dream and 3 females with a will to succeed have made this business a success that will hopefully continue to bring fun and fashion to stay-at-home moms, working mothers, newborn babies and growing tots everywhere!
